The Willow Grove Veterans Memorial Park was created following World War II by local citizens to honor the men and women who so bravely served their country. The citizens collected money door-to-door and through fundraisers to buy the land and build the park.
Today, the park is a vibrant part of the community, with walking trails and recreational areas for children. The park is managed by Upper Moreland Township, and is a significant part of the Township’s park system.
The park is currently undergoing a major renovation funded by tax dollars, and will be greatly improved. A new entrance at the intersection of Easton and Old York Roads has been created to provide much greater visibility and access for residents to use the park.
While money is allocated to complete improvements to the park itself, the majority of the funding for the actual memorial honoring our veterans must be raised through private donations. We need your help — won’t you please contribute?
